Overall, we have such a great season of growth happening here at Southridge, and we’re excited to be adding these discipleship opportunities for you. We do not want you participate in every one of these, but what we DO WANT is for you to worship God passionately, connect with one another authentically, grow to know God deeply and go, show and tell the gospel boldly.
Food & Fellowship
This is a chance for your to connect authentically with other believers from Southridge over a meal while encouraging each other in your walks with the Lord.
An opportunity to Connect with One Another Authentically in an environment in which you are comfortable
Groups no larger than 8 adults committing to share a meal together 3 times over the next 3 months
A way for us to practice the “one another’s” (James 5:16 – Pray for one another; 1 Thes. 5:11 – Encourage one another;John 15:12 – Love one another)
As we grow to know God deeply, through Topical Bible Studies we are providing an opportunity to look at some key topics that are important to our Christian walk. We want to equip disciples within our church to know the Word better, to understand their faith more fully and to follow Jesus more faithfully.
8 week classes designed to help us Grow to Know God Deeply
Meets at various times throughout the week at Southridge in socially distanced environments
Studies centered on the Word while focusing on specific topics
The What & Why of Spiritual Gifts
Saturdays 6:00pm starting Oct. 3 Pastor Greg White
Pastor Greg White is teaching The What and Why of Spiritual Gifts, and it’s going to be a fantastic opportunity to explore what the Bible says about spiritual gifts, but it’s not only an academic exercise. We’re wanting to see clearly how spiritual gifts, in accordance with scripture, apply to you as an individual believer and how it applies to our church as a whole and the the body of Christ at large.
Hearing the Voice of God in the Psalms
Wednesdays 6:30pm starting Sept. 30 Pastor Kenny McCune
The goal of this class is threefold: First, we want to be sure that we have the skills needed to properly read the Psalms, second we want to be able to hear the voice of God within the Psalms in the way the Lord intends and finally we want to be able to learn to more fully participate in worship, praise, thanksgiving, celebration of wisdom and even lamenting as the Psalms teach us to do. This is going to be a great chance for you to know how to read the Bible, how to gain spiritual understanding of what you are reading and how to respond in a right and genuine way.
